Taste of Playa Wine and Food Pairing Dinner at la Casa del Agua
On Wednesday evening, Taste of Playa celebrated its 5th anniversary with a spectacular wine and food pairing event hosted by La Casa del Agua. Of course, Rob and I were first in line for reservations! Hans and his staff did an amazing job. The food was excellent, the wines thoughtfully paired and the service was outstanding. The menu included a salad of Melon and Goat Cheese, Seabass in Romescu Sauce, a slow roasted Portabello Confit, sauteed Squid filled with Pancetta Mousse, Beer Marinated Short Ribs and finally a Triple Chocolate Cake. All six courses were timed perfectly, the food was served at the right temperature and the wines were poured on time.... no easy feat with a group of 50 discerning, well-traveled and in this case rowdy foodies. Everyone was there to have a good time and ramp up the excitement for the big event which takes place in just a few short hours.

Rob and I are both so proud to be sponsors for this amazing community event. We can argue the monetary "ROI" of our sponsorship dollars all day long. In the end, the real reward is knowing that we are contributing to an event that helps to support and promote this beautiful region that we call home and the many local business owners we call friends. I was honored to sit on the committee for the first 2 years and I am equally honored to be a corporate sponsor. Kudos to the Executive Committee for all their hard work and dedication to keep Taste of Playa going and growing every year.
