Kinnon Family Trip Report 2013 - Relaxing in Oaxaca City
Not every single day can be Go! Go! Go! Sometimes, you just need to relax and take in your surroundings, let the sites and the sounds and the smells of the city waft by you and that's what we did for a day or two. We slept in, hung around the house and left when we got hungry. We wandered around in town, went in and out of shops, hung out in the park, drank copious amounts of mezcal and generally enjoyed ourselves without a plan. The kids played in the park, made friends with the balloon vendors and generally ran amok.
Unfortunately, the day before Easter, Rob was to leave us on our own for the remainder of the trip so these last few days were spent enjoying each-others company without any pressure to get anything done or check anything off the list. We made it a point to eat and drink VERY well along the way....
Tomorrow...a bus tour to the ruins of Mont Alban.
