I've spent the weekend at home with a nasty cold and missing out on several events I was really looking forward too. Rob's been busy working. The kids have been out stirring up trouble in our Campestre neighborhood. So, it's been kinda quiet around here. Luckily, I did have a couple of vistors to keep me amused. A few feathered guests came to call, some whom we have seen before, and some new ones. Maybe someone can help me to identify the last one.

I think this one may be an Altamira Oriole as he is must larger (9 in.) and stockier than the Hooded Orioles with fewer markings on the wngs.

Any ideas on this last one? At about 12 inches in length, I thought it might be a mockingbird of some kind, but the tail is not quite long enough, the body too stocky and the beak to heavy. This one came traveling through in a small flock of 8-10 birds, all looking just like this one. The entire head, upper body and tail is a dark dusty brown without distinct markings. The chest and belly is white. So, birders, what do you think?
