Always known for its quiet atmosphere, lovely little hotels and pristine beaches, the small island of Holbox is now famous for its cuisine as well, calling itself "the culinary capital of the Mexican Caribbean". The 2nd International Culinary Show of Holbox begins this week with 5 days of festivities to celebrate the cuisine found throughout the island.

From October 16 - 20, 2013, you can enjoy music, conferences and all kinds of food in one of Quintana Roo's most beautiful destinations thanks to a complete event schedule:

Wednesday, October 16

  • 9:30 pm: Bohemian Night - Enjoy an evening of music while surrounded by torches, bonfires and starlight.

Thursday, October 17

  • 2:30 - 5:30 pm: Food and music
  • 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm: Dinner
  • 10:00 pm: International Blues, Tango and Jazz Night with dancing and music

Friday, October 18

  • 2:30 pm: Food and music
  • 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm: Parade, music and shows through the streets of the town of Holbox
  • 10:00 pm: Caribbean Fiesta - dinner, music and a show by the ocean

Saturday, October 19

  • 2:30 pm: Food and music
  • 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm: Public conference by Chef Ricardo Muñoz
  • 9:00 pm: Dinner in the town square, prepared by the women of Holbox Island
  • 11:00 pm: Closing party with dancing, shows and awards

Sunday, October 20

  • 2:30 pm: Closing lunch with music
