Ellen de Jonge is originally from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and moved to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, 10 years ago. Here she has embraced the practice and science of Yoga daily and became an E-RYT with the Yoga Alliance in 2004.

In September 2008 she co-founded with David Campos "Yoga by the Way", a yoga studio in the center of Playa del Carmen where she teaches daily classes and twice a year holds a 200 hour teacher training.

Ellen is certified in Levels 1 and 2 with Yoga for Everybody, and has successfully completed the Baron Baptiste Power Vinyasa Teacher Training Levels 1 and 2. She has also studied with Erich Schiffmann, Bryan Kest, David Williams, Shari Friedrichsen and Blair Lewis of the Himalayan Institute and many more. Ellen now continues her more in-depth studies with Para Yoga founder Rod Stryker.
