opportunity for improvement, a chance to start things afresh according to the Mayan. It is the end of one Mayan "world"....

and the beginning of another!!
The ancient Mayan were master stargazers and recognized the special planetary alignment of this date as symbolic for our world. Whether you believe this to be the end of the world or you are looking forward to a new beginning this date has a special resonance throughout history!

the Plaza Fundadores in downtown Playa del Carmen between calle 2 and
Juarez on 5th avenue at 6pm on Friday December 21, 2012 for a once in an age experience!
The Cancun holistic Center Akbal is hosting an evening of yoga and meditation events to welcome the new age.

Travel to the small town of Felipe Carillo Puerto, just south of Tulum, known as "the gateway to the Mayan world" for two days of events, festivities and Mayan ceremonies to say goodbye to one age and welcome the next.

The Casa de la Cultura in Felipe Carillo Puerto will be hosting many of the cultural events during this two day celebration of the end of the Mayan Calendar.

Arrive dressed in white with a white candle in hand to the impressive ruins of El Mecco, near Cancun between the hours of 9am and 4pm to participate in the close of the 13 Baktun and the opening of the new era hosted by Consejo Maya Nuevo Sol.

Share your positive vibes with the world! The Pyramid of Positive Thinking in Aldea Zama, Tulum is having a special celebration to usher in the new era. In Aldea Zama there will be a market place set up, conferences, and a a Pre-hispanic fusion dance show.
The Kin Festival in Tulum is putting out the call for unity, by inviting everyone to join them on Pescadores beach also called Playa Maya beach to share a night of concerts, artisans, sports exhibitions, cultural activities and food.
Canibal Royal, one of the hottest beach clubs in Playa del Carmen, is having a Do Over party sponsored by Adidas. This world famous party is here to celebrate the end of Baktun 13 and is sure to be a crazy good time!

The Time and Space Festival will be in Tulum for the days of the winter solstice, which happens to be the end of the Mayan calendar. The countdown has begun!

Chichen Itza one of the most impressive Maya Ruins sites is going to be full of merry makers as well as the town of Piste, Yucatan.
