A Visit to the School Garden at Ak Lu'um Waldorf School

The teachers and students at Ak Lu'um Waldorf School in Playa del Carmen have been working hard on their bio-dynamic garden beds and are starting to see the fruits of their labors. Wastewater Garden Specialist Needed in Belize!

This week I learned that the ambitious Direct Abundance San Mateo Sanitation Project planned for the school had ground to a halt. Ak Lu'um Presented to the Municipal Govt. of Solidaridad as a Featured Eco-Project

On Monday, I was invited to attend a conference with local environmental groups presenting their various projects to the local media and representatives from the Office of Environmental Affairs for the Municipal Government of Solidaridad. Held in the grand auditorium of the Municipal Plaza, six eco initiatives were presented for the consideration of the assembly including Ak Lu'um International School and their 1st annual "Eco-Reto", a challenge for local families to design and build the best eco-friendly toy.
