Cole Gets His Yellow Belt!!
Big news for all of you following the physical, intellectual and emotional development of my children! Psst...that's you Grandma ;) Cole received his yellow belt in Tae Kwon Do today in a small ceremony at El Papalote School. I was fortunate to be able to attend said ceremony. Fortunate because none of the parents were informed that it was happening today. Even more fortunate, Cole happened to be one of only five students who turned up in complete uniform today, a requirement to participate in this presentation. As you can imagine, there were some pretty confused kids and irritated parents in attendance this afternoon. Secretly, I was giving myself "high-fives" for being present and prepared....this time. Of course, I got all teary, but I was still able to get a few cute shots of the kids.

Cole was first up to receive his certificate of completion. He scored a 90 on his exam!

He was really proud of himself.

Don't worry, I can't read it either.

Anticipation!

The ritual exchange of the belts.

El Maestro himself puts each belt on each child.

Finally, Cole's turn. He was a little bit nervous.

Umm, I think that belt is going to need a trim. El Maestro had to wrap it around him twice!

Cole, obviously pleased with his new colors.

Felicidades and fuerte aplauso for the new Moo Duk Kwan Yellow Belts!

So proud, I could burst!
