Look at this great old photograph I found. This is the beach road south of what is now, the town of Mahahual!


Pretty cool, yes? Actually, this is a photo I took back in 2006. It has been altered with an online tool called a Bakumatsu Koshashin Generator. “Koshashin” means “old photo”. “Bakumatsu” means, literally, “end of feudal era”, specifically, the end of Edo shogunate era (circa 1860). The name of this process translates to something like “generator for photos over 150 years old”. I don't generally blog about "bloggy' things but I thought this was fun and gave me a chance to play with some of our "older" photos from past getaways.
