Be a part of the 1st annual Dia de Muertos Festival in Cancun! The Institute of Culture and the Arts in Cancun invites you all to enjoy the festivities and activities as Death comes to life in Cancun! The event will take place Monday, October 31 to Wednesday, November 2. There will be displays of altars, art activities, an art exhibition, food and lots of surprises for families to enjoy. Attend and celebrate your traditions. Activities will take place in the Plaza de la Reforma, Parque de Las Palapas and la Casa de Cultura de Cancun. Tianguis is a Nahuatl word from the Aztecs which refers to an open-air market. The Mexican tianguis, traditionally, will be set up on a certain day in certain neighborhood.
